On Thursday, May 29th, five remarkable young students marked the triumphant culmination of their time at the Laradon School, tossing their graduation caps to the sky as they celebrated the start of their next grand adventure. Ben, Christian, Mario, Jared, and Travis (please note this students name has been changed for privacy reasons) have diligently prepared for their next steps beyond Laradon, each embarking on a unique and promising path.
During the heartfelt graduation ceremony, each student was honored and recognized by a beloved teacher who guided them during their time at Laradon.

The first to share about one of the graduates was Para Teacher, Camille. She described how Ben consistently brightens the classroom with his playful spirit and infectious joy, always arriving with a big smile that lights up the room.
“Today marks the end of Ben’s chapter here at Laradon and marks the beginning of his next adventure,” Camille expressed. “We know he will continue to thrive, and we are so incredibly proud of the wonderful person he has become.”
Graham, Classroom Ten’s teacher, spoke movingly about the inspiring presence of Christian. He shared how Christian loves coming to school and learning new things. Graham also highlighted Christian’s remarkable resilience, noting how he faces every challenge head-on, refusing to take no for an answer.
“Christian has faced every single challenge with determination, courage and an unwavering belief in himself. Not only has he stood up for himself but others as well. He is always checking up on his classmates to make sure they are okay. Christians spirt will be greatly missed,” Graham emphasized.

Jenna, Classroom Eight’s teacher, recounted the joy of teaching Jared. Known as the classroom jokester, Jared has a special talent for bringing laughter to everyone, even on difficult days. She also spoke of the significant personal growth he has achieved and the excitement surrounding his future.
“We know the Adult Day Program loves him just as much as we do, so we have very high hopes for his life after Laradon. Jared is truly such a joy and it’s been such an honor to be his teacher. I have valued every minute with him,” Jenna shared.
Miranda, Classroom Nine teacher, affectionately referred to Travis as “the keeper of Laradon’s secrets” because he always has his ear to the door listening to all the stories of those who roam the halls. Miranda conveyed the boundless warmth of his heart and how she always looked forward to having him in her class.
“I think all the staff can agree that Travis will always put a smile on your face,” Miranda explained. “We are so proud of all the progress he has made, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.”

Finally, Christine, a Classroom Ten para, reflected on Mario’s long and inspiring journey at Laradon. She highlighted his natural progression into a leadership role within the classroom and how his big personality has touched so many lives.
“We are so proud of Mario. We are going to miss his goofy jokes and all the wonderful songs he creates. The future is so bright for Mario, and we all know you are going to do great things,” Christine said.
Each of these five students has navigated a unique journey at Laradon, a rollercoaster of ups and downs through which they have persevered with remarkable strength. Though different in personalities, each student is profoundly loved by their teachers and peers and will be deeply missed. Laradon hopes they feel immense excitement for their next steps and eagerly looks forward to watching them blossom into the amazing adults Laradon knows they are destined to be.
