About The Adult Day Program
Adults 18+ have access to learning opportunities, skill-building activities, and meaningful, social relationships to promote independence in all aspects of daily living. Individualized programs are designed to accommodate and support specific challenges a person might face as they strive to achieve their full potential. Within Laradon’s Adult Day Program, there are numerous areas of emphasis designed to meet the needs of each individual.
3 Areas of Emphasis
1. Meeting the Needs Of Medical Conditions
One area of emphasis is designed to meet the needs of individuals with serious and chronic medical conditions. Medical conditions are supported throughout the day by trained staff and are closely overseen by our on-site trained nurse.
2. Overcoming Behavioral & Psychological Barriers
We empower individuals to overcome behavioral and psychological barriers that prevent them from using the community resources and developing the relationships they desire. Our staff promotes a safe and controlled environment where meaningful community engagement occurs. Staff members are trained in behavioral intervention and positive reinforcement strategies to ensure a safe and successful experience for all.
3. Recreational, Leisure & Educational Opportunities
Laradon uses a blend of on-site and community resources to provide recreational, leisure and educational opportunities for adults seeking to engage with their peers. Typical activities include light exercise, current events, music, arts and crafts, games and community outings.
