About The Calabrese Youth Center

This therapeutic program, offering the highest level of individualized care, is designed to assist youth ages 11-21 to resolve social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties so they can transition to less restrictive residential settings. It provides 24-hour residential services to youth ages 11-18, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Calabrese Youth Center has the capacity for 15 beds.

All staff receive training on trauma-informed care, apply behavior analysis, and therapeutic interventions to ensure a safe space for our vulnerable population and to promote a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing. All staff are trained with the skills needed to prevent and, when necessary, manage behavioral incidents through Safety Care, QBS.
Community based instruction supports independent living skills, and increases community safety, personal budgeting and executive functioning skills.
High staff-to-youth ratios provide less restrictive environments and less invasive interventions.
Consistent collaboration, coordination of care, and communication with guardians and youth teams.
