Anyone who has ever visited the Sprouts in Westminster has likely encountered the legendary employee Glenn— the keyboard-playing musician, and dinosaur enthusiast, who’s become a local icon.

While Glenn was hired for his hard work and dedication to supporting the business, it’s his optimism and one-liners that are remembered.

“Time to tear it up,”

“Gotta learn the fast lane,”

“Gotta keep up with the buggies.”

“He is considered a legend around here,” Catherine, Glenn’s sister exclaims. “We can’t go anywhere in the Northglenn, Thornton, or Westminster area without someone recognizing him.”

Glenn has been a Sprouts employee for the past three years and is part of Laradon’s Employment Program and Community Living Services Program. Glenn’s passion for the food industry began back in High School after he took a cooking class. He has now found a career in the grocery story industry.

“He runs into someone all the time and they recognize him for the work he does at Sprouts,” Catherine shares.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are when Glenn takes over Sprouts by storm. He has worked with his Laradon job coach, Jeremy, to create ‘Glenn’s Work Schedule’ that includes everything from sweeping the front entrance to bagging groceries for customers.

“Collecting the buggies is my absolute favorite,” Glenn shares through a smile before running off to collect the next cart.

Glenn is one of 101 individuals in the IDD community Laradon supports through the Employment Program. Laradon currently works with over 50 different employers in the Denver area to support people like Glenn in following their career aspirations by providing a job coach and training.
