On a crisp winter day, Laradon’s Classroom 7 students stepped onto the stage and took their marks. The audience waited in hushed anticipation for the performance to begin. Suddenly, the iconic beat of “We Will Rock You” blared through the speakers, and the class sprang to life.
However, one student stood anxiously to the side. Maverick, a student in Classroom 7, was overcome by stage fright. Frozen in place and unsure of what to do, he hesitated—until moments later, his classmate and friend, Elijah, spotted him struggling.
As a seasoned and talented performer at Laradon, Elijah knew all about the pressure of the spotlight, but he also knew how to overcome it. He stepped to his friend's side and began playing the most legendary air guitar solo known to man. As Elijah continued to perform, showing Maverick that they were in this together, the stage fright melted away. Maverick smiled, found his rhythm, and joined his friend in the performance.
Through his kind heart and overwhelming support for others, Elijah has been able to thrive at the Laradon School. He has surpassed his behavioral and academic goals and is now on his way to transitioning back into his home high school.
As he continues to grow and get ready for what's next, Elijah hopes he has left a lasting impression at Laradon. Anyone who has seen him in action can confirm; he certainly has.
